How Jesse Works

  • Brief.

One markdown file tells Jesse who you are, what your tools are, and what to do each day. The better the instructions, the better the output.

  • Connect.

Point Jesse at the tools you already use. It pulls from all of them into one place, and you talk to it in your LLM app of choice.

  • Manage.

From 'Good morning' to day's end, Jesse helps you manage your inbox, meeting notes, and project work so nothing slips.

Everything comes from your own email, calendar, Slack, and notes. Jesse has no visual interface of its own - you interact with Jesse in whatever LLM app you choose and the briefing lives as a simple markdown file in your private vault.

Jesse is just the start.

What Jesse Does & How to Make It Yours

The morning briefing is where most people start. From there, Jesse is where your notes, projects, and follow-ups live, all of it plain markdown in your vault and yours to rewrite.
  • Routines and Rules You Own

The morning briefing is only the default. Add an end-of-day wrap-up or weekly cleanup by describing what to gather and hand back. Report formatting, writing voice, email triage are all yours to set. Change one and the behavior updates on the next run, no settings, nothing to redeploy.

  • From Inbox to Done

Most AI assistants note your instructions and save them for later. Jesse works through them during the morning briefing. Drop a note asking it to research a topic or draft an email, and the work is waiting in your projects folder.

  • The Tools You Actually Use

Anything with an MCP connector becomes another source Jesse reads from: Gmail, Slack, Calendar, Google Drive, or whatever else your team runs on. Wire in what you use, skip the rest, and it all lands in the same vault.

  • Updates Without Merge Conflicts

Jesse's codebase lives on GitHub, where our team pushes refinements upstream. Ask what changed and Jesse reads the updates, tells you what's new, and flags anything that conflicts with your setup. You decide what to keep.

  • A Contact Directory That Builds Itself

Jesse creates a contact entry every time someone new shows up in your inbox, a Slack thread, or a calendar invite, and updates the ones you already have. Over time it becomes a directory you actually use.
